Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This is the Frequently Asked Questions document for Earnwrite.com.  If you have just joined Earnwrite and are looking for a getting started guide, read the Getting Started With Earnwrite article.

Can I put my articles on this site and other sites also?

Yes, as long as you are the copyright holder you can publish your articles on this site and other sites as well.  However, other sites may restrict you from doing this.  You may not plagarize or publish articles that are not your own work.

What are the requirements to publish an article?

An article must conain at least 250 words and must be your own work or the copyright is held by you.

These are the bare minimum requirements.; We recommend that you write well organized informative articles free of gramatical and spelling errors.  Articles that are longer than the minimum and contain lots of targeted information are more likely to be discovered by readers using search engines.

What is the 10 Article Bonus

The 10 article bonus refers to the boost you get in ad your percentage ad views once you publish 10 articles on Earnwrite.com. See the description of the Publisher Level below for more information on the bonus.

How do I get Paid?

You are paid through adsense.  When you enter your publisher id in your account profile, a portion of the ads shown on your articles will contain your adsense publisher id. If you do not have an adsense account the following article will show you how to get one:

How_to_Get_a_Google_Adsense_Publisher_ID

We also currently run kontera and infolinks ads.  If you have either a kontera or infolinks account you may earn additional income through these networks.

We will be adding support for other advertising services in the future.  If you do not enter your advertising ids into your profile, you will not earn income from your articles.

What are the current ad sharing percentages?

Introductory Level

50% of advertisements will contain your publisher id

Publisher Level (The 10 Article Bonus)

When you have 10 articles published on earnwrite.com, the percentage of advertisements with your publisher id will go up to 80%

If you publish 10 articles and each of those articles gets 100 views a week, then you would have your ads displayed 800 (.8 X 10 X 100) times.?  If your clickthrough rate is 3% and you earned $.25 on each click. You would have earned $6.00 from your articles.

Referral Bonus

For every person you refer to earnwrite.com, your publisher id will appear in 10% of their articles advertisements.

Advertisement percentages are rewarded individually by article.  For example if you have two articles published and the first one has 100 views and the second one earned 10 views then you would have your ads presented in 50 of the views for the first article and 5 views of the second article. If you were referred to the site by someone, the person who referred you would have their ads presented 10 times in the first article and 1 time in the second article.

If you refer 10 people to us and each of them writes 10 articles, you would earn 10 percent of the ad views on all 100 of those articles. If each of those 100 articles got 100 views in a week you would have had your ad placed in 10 percent of those 10,000 page views or 1,000 times.  If your click through rate were 3% and you earned $.25 on each click you would earn (30 X .25) or $7.50 in referral income in addition to the income you earn off of your won articles.

Do I lose ad views if I was referred by someone else?

No, referral ad view percentages do not come from your ad percentages - so it does not hurt to be referred by someone.  The referral program is designed to reward you if you refer other active publishers to us.

What is my click through rate and amount earned on each click?

This information is available through the advertising networks that you have signed up to use. For example, if you put your adsense publisher id in the system, you would log into your adsense console to check your clickthrough rate and amount earned.

How can I suggest new features to be included earnwrite.com?

You can use the feedback tool located along the side of earnwrite.com to submit user suggestions. Suggestions can also be voted on and tracked with this tool.

Since you are paid by the ad service and not by earnwrite.com, you must enter either your adsense publisher id or another supported ad service account id in order to be paid.

Currently infolinks is not supported; additionally users may not run thier own advertisements, doing so is a violation of the terms of service. However, we are considering making infolinks and other advertising programs available on this service.

Assuming you have your publisher-id setup in your Earnwrite.com account correctly, you will still need to setup a URL Channel in your Adsense account if you want to see Earnwrite.com appear in your Adsense reports.
