What Really Makes a Woman Sexy?

One time, when I was in a party, I noticed a woman entered the function room that made every eye turned in her direction, my partner included. As a woman, I know she was not the most beautiful woman present that night. There were others whose faces could have graced the cover of the elite magazines. Her height was average, not the tallest or the shortest. She was not the thinnest or heaviest woman in the party. I was not sure what made men present that night stare at her as if she was the center of attraction. She was not even the celebrant or the party host. She was just one of the guests. Initially, she was not someone you would envy of, but whatever it was, she had something in her that was special, and she had carried it like only a few women ever could.

Women’s obvious characteristic is not always what makes them sexy. There is a deeper thing than physical appearance. What men saw that night was the her sparkling eyes, the way she carried herself, the way she smiled, the way she dressed, the way she walked and the way she wore her hair obviously demanded high level of attention from men and even some level of attention from women.

Another thing I observed was how she interacted with others that made her more special in the eyes of most people in that party. She was obviously the star of the night or if it was a pageant, for sure she would grab Ms. Congeniality award. Her confidence in conversations, smiles and eye contact with whomever she had engaged that night were extra-ordinary. She sipped her drink, never gulped as if she was savoring its taste. She always gave space but made sure not too far away. She attracted attention without having to demand it. She effortlessly made herself the apple of the eye of men and even women.

I observed when she engaged in conversations, she did not agree to everything uttered, rather she showed intellect by giving out reasons. She showed she was smart as if she had her own mind with her own views and positions on an array of topics. She admitted when she was wrong and she acknowledged those that corrected her. She can pretend to have knowledge about a topic she is not comfortable with. That showed she was open to new ideas or new knowledge despite knowing those were no use for her. She understood the equality of men and women but not necessarily defended feminism or women over men. She would defend right over wrong. She showed respect to her male counterparts whose egos were potentially fragile. She can balance her being a woman or personality without taking away anything from the persons that men wanted to be. She was aware that women became mature earlier than men, but she didn’t have to emphasize it.

She was sexy wearing a gown longer than her body but she would still be sexy in bathing suit while the sun’s kissing her skin, working jeans and shirt at home, casual clothes while hanging out with female friends or corporate dress at work. She can be sexy even when having an argument with a traffic enforcer or when window shopping. Most of all, she can be sexy doing nothing at all.
