Reconstruction as a conservation method

Conservation is the method that is using to expand the life of the buildings and sites. It is very important to prevent the important buildings and the site in the world. The conservation protects the pride of the world by protecting important buildings.

 

There are many methods using in the conservation process. Some of them are using much. Some of them are using rare. The amount of the deterioration and the importance of the building are cause to find the conservation method. Even the reconstruction is not using as a famous conservation method it is an important topic should be discussed because of the important and complexity of the process.

 

Meaning of reconstruction

Reconstruction is the process of reproducing the product by new construction the exact form and detail. The reproduction uses using the present materials at the site or new materials.

 

There are two methods in the process of reconstruction. Those are,

  • Construct a monument by the new materials and new technology with the using of relevant evidences
  • Moving of an entire building to a new site – Using the materials at present of the monument in this conservation method-  Using the relevant evidences are very important in this process.

This method use to the buildings those are in threat which are proposed to remove or in collapsible buildings. The reason may be the less of strength of the foundation or the earth changes. A good example of this process used is the conservation of the temple complex of Abu Simbal.
