How to Get a Google Adsense Publisher ID

To earn income from your earnwrite.com articles, you need to be registered with Google's adsense.  Registering with adsense is easy using this guide.  You can still write articles and get links back to your website without having adsense, but you may as well sign up and earn a little money from it too.

Sign Up for Google Adsense

Go to the Google's adsense website (https://www.google.com/adsense/g-app-single-1) and fill out the form.  Make sure you enter your information correctly because they pay you by sending you a check in the mail.

If you do not have a website or a blog you can still sign up for adsense by listing your earnwrite profile page as your website URL.  You can get your public profile page URL from your user home page, or any of your by-line links.  Your user profile page URL will look something like the following example and can be found in the address bar of your browser after clicking on your user id when you are logged in to the site:

 http://www.earnwrite.com/people/[a-z]/YourUserName/123/.

After Google reviews your application, they will provide you with a Publisher Id.  You will need to enter this publisher Id in your Earnwrite profile.  If your application is not approved and you have used your earnwrite.com user profile page as your website URL, the problem is most likely that you have not created any content on earnwrite.com.  If you will be using your Earnwrite.com user profile page as your website when applying for a Google Publisher Id, you should create some content on earnwrite.com first so that your profile page will have ample material.

Enter Your Publisher Id in Your Earnwrite.com Profile

Once you have gotten your Publisher Id from Google. Log into Earnwrite.com and go to your profile page. Click the update profile link and update the Publisher Id field.

At this point you will be able to earn revenue off of your articles from Google Adsense.  Once you have started writing some articles you should setup one or more channels in Adsense so that you may track your earnings on Earnwrite.com

Setup Channels in Google Adsense

Channels allow you to see what sites/URLs are generating your clicks and revenue. To setup channels in Adsense so that you can track your earnings, go to the Adsense Setup page and click on the channels link. 

You will want to setup URL channels.  If you setup a URL channel for Earnwrite.com, this channel will report the income earned from all of your ads on earnwrite.com.  By using different URLs you may also track earnings by specific categories or even specific articles.  See the article How_To_Add_a_Earnwrite_Channel_to_Adsense or one of the links below for more information on setting up Adsense Channels.
